I have another blog now as part my Multimedia degree and have been focussing more on that but this video needs to be seen as it’s just so brilliant. I love the pace and simplistic nature, the song is perfectly brought to life by this video, awesome awesome awesome!
The Naked & Famous are my new favorite band, and anyone who knows me will testify to the fact that I don’t say that kind of thing often, my musical orientation tends to be in reverse, anyway enjoy….
These re-imagined movie posters by Matt Busch are all hand painted rather than taking the original and photoshoping them. and an added bit of word play to authenticate the re worked images.
There seems to be alot of Zombie orientated art out there at present (which is no bad thing), another artist that recently caught me eye was Mike Esparza, his work is more music orientated, taking classic musical images and then applying the zombie treatment but is very much in the same vein as the zombie movie posters above.
One of my all time favorite movies is the 1998 Coen bros classic ‘The Big Lebowski’ If you’ve seen it you will appreciate this, if not… you know what to do!
PES is a very talented chap called Adam Pesapane and is a director and animator of numerous short films and commercials. Shown here- PES’s first animated film, “Roof Sex”, features two life-sized chairs having sex on a New York rooftop. It’s a very humorous but strangely life like film, there is not one person on this planet that wouldn’t find this amusing… except maybe a nun, or small children, or religious extremist’s in ninja outfits! Though only a minute long, the film took 20 shooting days to complete. In 2002, “Roof Sex” won the ‘Best First film award’ at the A.I.A Film festival. “Roof Sex” was featured at over 100 film festivals worldwide and won numerous awards.
Sneaux Shoes and PES have teamed up to create a really cool stop motion commercial, It features two guy’s in skating mode- one as the skateboarder and the other as… the skateboard! Really cool concept and perfectly delivered, mainly due to the sound bringing the visual to life allowing the viewer to believe it! Looks kind of painful for the board dude but how do you create ollies, kickflips and a car jump via stop motion????
Ray ban have created this rather original and clever animation for a new promotional campaign. The idea behind it speaks for itself but it’s a really cool way of creating a stop motion animation, can’t of been too pleasant to produce though with all that face copying- it’s enough to make your eye balls melt!

I love this animation, like a hell of allot of others do I’m sure! That’s a beef of mine, I am researching animation for a uni assignment and I stumble across lots of magical stuff that gets me excited and inspires me a great deal, problem is the magic goes when you sit in a class full of students all playing the same thing, it devalues the material (it’s not mine but it’s mine), ney’ mind- this piece is exceptionally cute and infectious as hell! I love the way it’s made up essentially from one liners that only a tiny shell could use!
